The saucer-eyed, chasm-grinned performer best known for her star-making role in the smash musical Hello, Dolly! gets the Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work treatment. Director Dori Berinstein (ShowBusiness: The Road to Broadway) stays out of the way as the 90-year-old subject holds energetic court, chatting about life, love and career in between glowing testimonials from friends and colleagues (good to see you, Laugh-In's Jo Anne Worley!). There's not much beyond all the fawning, but the effusively talented Channing more than deserves the gush.
