Time Out says

Initially played straight as an examination of veteran stand-up Jonathan Winters's work and influence, this confounding, overwrought mockumentary abruptly devolves into sitcom silliness, with the elderly funnyman pulling a full Joaquin---pretending to abandon comedy to become an abstract painter. As Winters holds meetings with MoMA officials and panics when a "witch doctor" attacks him in a bathroom and steals his "sense of humor," the premise is too absurd to register as either novel or funny. Cameos by adoring protgs Jim Carrey and Robin Williams are frittered away on furthering the "plotline," and you'll find yourself yearning for reality.
