Can we all come to a consensus that the whole mockumentary concept is played out? Mike Akel’s comedy aims to do for educators what The Office does for white-collar workers, complete with an obliviously odious authority figure (Mass) who tries to be the students’ friend. However, there’s a marked difference in quality between that sitcom or Christopher Guest’s work and this labored endeavor. Maybe it’s time to dismiss these improv classes once and for all.
