After Mark, one half of a gay cyberflirting duo, dies in a car accident the week before he’s due to meet Andrea (Calza), his opportunistic friend Jeff (Smith) shows Andrea around the dead man’s home. According to the press notes, director Yen Tan met Calza via e-mail, and the pair wrote the script based on their own experiences. It’s hard to shake the feeling that the onscreen words stick too close to the facts: The dialogue drags, making the viewer like an invisible third wheel at a nervous, slightly dull first date.
