Fast-rappin' hi-jinks with the staff of the lowliest cab company in Washington DC. Basically a cross between TV's Taxi and the Schumacher-scripted Car Wash. Unfortunately, the sharp one-liners and quickie situation-jokes stop about halfway through, when an attempt at a plot is introduced. Ironically, despite a Keystone chase sequence, all this does is slow things down. Still, most of the jokes are a hoot (even Mr T parodies himself), and the soundtrack really frizzles. If this screen debut is anything to go by, Charlie Barnett should give Eddie Murphy a run for his money in the New Richard Pryor race - a Black Power Harpo, no less.
