Tepid British melodrama which reunites Terence Morgan and child actress Mandy Miller (they first appeared together in Mandy - Ealing's outstanding 'serious' picture - in 1952). Morgan's again a tyrannical bullying father, this time determined to make Mandy into a Hollywood star. Estranged wife Mai Zetterling, a former ballerina, is set against the idea.
