Eleven-year-old Daud lives in Brooklyn with his strict Moslem family. Through an innocent misunderstanding he is befriended by a group of Jewish boys who think he’s one of their own. Daud enjoys their company and so keeps up the charade, calling himself David, until his deceit is inevitably uncovered. A sweet story which authentically demonstrates that the heartache of wanting to fit in transcends religious boundaries. And it’s refreshing to see a film that focuses on the similarities not the differences between Judaism and Islam
