Time Out says

Two actors, one tiny location, 200 euros: 'Elevator' is an object lesson in bang-for-buck frugality. A pair of Romanian teenagers sneak into an industrial elevator in an abandoned factory, looking for somewhere secluded. They get more than they bargained for: six days later they're still in there, eating paper, pissing through a small hole in the floor and slowly dying of thirst and malnutrition.

Grimly believable and starkly, claustrophobically fatalistic, 'Elevator' is not an easy watch. But director Dorobantu does an impressive job with scant resources; there are some genuinely powerful, unsettling scenes here. A shame, then, that he waits until the final scene before giving us a reason to actually like these characters.
