The TV movie trimmed by half-an-hour and with The Movie added to the title when released theatrically in Britain in 1979. A biopic ending in 1969 (and framed by Elvis' triumphant return to Las Vegas in July of that year), it alternates periods of brash psychologising with creditable re-enactments of some legendary performances. (Presley vocals by Ronnie McDowell.
