Escape to Paradise

This film on the theme of asylum seeking and the problems of exile uses real people to act in versions of their own real life dramas - although it's unclear who or how many such feature here. Tortured prisoner Sehmuz, his wife Delâl and their three children escape Turkey to seek asylum in Switzerland. The story revolves around the mistake he makes listening to a friend's advice to fabricate an alternative, more 'plausible' documented past, one more likely to convince the authorities. Worthy rather than illuminating.
