A nicely extravagant tale of horror in which an army of cats protect a rich invalid (Parker) from her two-faced hairdresser-confidante (Hunnicutt), who has set a nephew with a phobia about cats (Sarrazin) to scheming for her money. Its success can be largely attibuted to two of Hitchcock's collaborators: writer Joseph Stefano, who turned in the script for Psycho, and Ray Berwick, who trained the birds for The Birds.
