Time Out says

3 out of 5 stars

Of all the ways to persuade someone to strip off, ‘it’s for the environment’ has to be one of the most unlikely. But this is the line pushed by Fuck for Forest, a Berlin-based collective who film and photograph themselves and others naked or engaged in sexual acts and use the proceeds from their website to fund rainforest preservation projects. They’re an odd, generally unlikeable bunch: leader Tommy is an old-school, self-absorbed alpha-hippy, happy to grind away for a baying crowd while his ice-cool partner Leona looks on. Then there’s Danny, the film’s focus, a troubled soul and abysmal songsmith lost in a complex world.

This documentary divides into two neat halves: the first follows the gang as they ply their trade on the streets, foraging supermarket bins and talking complete strangers into getting their kit off. The second, far more absorbing, section sees them head to Brazil on a mission of mercy, only to find that this whole world-saving lark isn’t quite as easy as it looks. A fascinating, timely film.
