This is the second instalment of writer/director Deutsch's continuing enquiry into the nature and source impulses of the moving image. Encompassing comedy, magic and memory, these tableaux films draw on footage from the first 30 years of documentary and feature film production gathered from archives across the world. New electronic scores hold together wildly disparate images that accumulate into a panoramic celebration of cinema and the human potential expressed within its earliest frames. The promise 'to be continued' is for once eagerly anticipated.
