They didn’t waste any time, did they? Here’s the official Olympics film. But don’t go getting too excited. This isn’t Daniel Craig telling us how he stepped on a corgi’s tail at the palace. Or Jess Ennis reliving the last lap of the 800m. This is a polite and proper doc, featuring interviews with a dozen athletes competing at the Olympics for the first time, alongside footage of them in action. And what grounded and normal bunch they are. Essex wonder-cyclist Laura Trott talks about whizzing around the velodrome like it’s a jog in the park: ‘Forty laps, as quick as you like.’
