Time Out says

2 out of 5 stars
This is a questionable Bollywood remake from 20th Century Fox of a hit Tamil potboiler. No-nonsense narcotics cop, Yash (John Abraham), vows to make India drug-free by shooting dead all dealers. Head honcho, Vishnu (Vidyut Jammwal) gets pissed off at Yash’s modus operandi and swears bloody revenge. It’s essentially a predictable ‘cops n robbers shoot-em-up’ with songs (not subtitled). Fans of Bolly-homoerotica will be in heaven: hunky Abraham gets his top off frequently and both hero and villain strip for the fight to the death climax. It’s a mystery why Fox backed this ‘masala’ flick especially as no effort was made to market it to a wider audience. Maybe it’s because this latest attempt by Hollywood to penetrate the lucrative Indian market creates zero impact.
