Humour doesn't travel too well in this gentle Slovakian comedy about two railway mailmen: Vinco, a successful, devil may care womaniser, and Pista, lovelorn and a disaster with the ladies - the archetypal comic 'nobody', in fact. Of some interest for its focus on provincial Slovakian life (all bee keeping, boozing, and eccentricity, apparently), but otherwise predictable and rather sentimental. (Not released until 1989, in which year Hanak took the prize for best director at the Berlin Film Festival.
