Time Out says

Three parallel but (apart from the fact that they’re Ugandan) unrelated stories alternate in the uneven and ultimately slightly frustrating narrative of Kamya’s first feature. Loosely linked by the themes of courage, corruption and compromise, they concern a Kampala maid desperate to help out a sister abused by her husband; a Kampala hip hop dancer and dj determined to stay on the straight and narrow despite a troubled past; and a teenager in the north of the country traumatised by war and returning after some years to his family. Potentially interesting stories, then, but had Kamya paid as much attention to the writing and the performances as she evidently did to the admittedly nifty editing and camerawork, the film would have been rather more satisfying.
