Kira's Reason – A Love Story

Bourgeois revelations violently surface as Kira (Stengade, carrying the picture) returns home, still troubled, after a period in hospital. A model of intimate distance, she tries to deliver as housewife, lover and mother but it all becomes too much once again. The difficulties of relationships and the sometimes intolerable facade of social situations are given the rough and ready stylistic support they require. It's the familiar Scandinavian pressure cooker - well executed Dogme-style, but not particularly appealing.
