First time director Pappi Corsicato has been called Naples' answer to Pedro Almodóvar, a description which might be more accurate if the Italian learned to temper his stylistic exuberance with a sense of overriding purpose. Three stories each swivel round an individual woman's misfortune at the hands of male caprice - two faithless husbands and a dope-addict son - but only the last comes up with a storyline outrageous enough to match the primary colour scheme and off-kilter wit. Here, a plucky news-vendor turns her partner's womanising to profit by taping his activities and selling the results.
