If you caught Petr Zelenka's Buñuel-like Buttoners and enjoyed it (who didn't?), you're in for a treat with this likewise wry, faintly surreal black comedy - Zelenka wrote it while making Buttoners - interweaving the exploits of seven not-so-bright young things looking for love and a sense of purpose in modern Prague. It's a story of loneliness, obsession, betrayal, misunderstanding and confusion; it's also about chance, coincidence, destiny, responsibility, radio DJs, medical science, parents, car crashes, dope, and a Japanese take on Western life, all of which suggests this might be seen as 'Buttoners 2'. Well, it's similarly quirky, stylish and often very funny, yet at the same time fresh enough to feel quite original.
