Time Out says
Applying the 'Run Lola Run' template to a whipcracking drama of crooked cops and deviant villains, this is a hugely entertaining thriller with a socially conscious edge. When straight-arrow rookie Adi (Vijay Varma) draws a bead on axe-wielding thug Shiva (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), the young officer hesitates. The film proceeds to explore the three possible outcomes from this life-altering moment: if Adi can't fire, if he shoots to kill, or if he fires only to wound. It's far from subtle – there's a strong hint of Bollywood bluntness in the characterisation and the love scenes – but it does paint a vivid picture of the hardships involved in policing a city as wild and untamed as Mumbai, and the compact narrative moves at a breakneck pace.
