Along with the later My Favorite Brunette, one of the funnier Hope vehicles, in which he plays a vaudeville entertainer (working with a trained penguin) who inadvertently becomes pulled into the world of espionage by British agent Carroll. With much cowardice and braggadocio in reaction to the threat of the pursuing Nazis, it's routine Hope, but the script sparkles with bright lines ('You got relatives out there?' he mutters when the penguin steals his applause. 'You and me will have to have a talk with a taxidermist') delivered with plenty of flair and gusto.
