Never Say Goodbye

A Bollywood tale of adultery among New York’s well-heeled desi set, Never Say Goodbye pairs an embittered former soccer champ (Indian megastar Khan) and an uptight kindergarten teacher (Mukherjee), each unhappily married. Their affair will provoke squalls of tears and stormy domestic spats—between exuberant musical numbers, of course. The Big Apple setting is promising, but when the showstoppers are staged at South Street Seaport and Columbia University, you have to wonder: Were the Brooklyn Bridge and Empire State Building booked?
