Jason Cortlund and Julia Halperin’s drama about a couple (Jason Cortlund and Tiffany Esteb) on the fringes of the organic-food world earns bonus points for its clever title (judges would have also accepted The Long Forage Home and The 7th Forage of Sinbad). Yet the novelty of their industry aside, there’s little to differentiate this from any other relationship-centered Amerindie. His profession as a picker of exotic mushrooms isn’t paying the bills; her ascent up the line-chef ladder parallels his descent as a provider. Respective incidents involving a snooty rich woman (Gabrielle Maisels) and a Rhode Island restaurant offer tangential respite from the domestic angst. A narrated anecdote about fungi sometimes helping their hosts and sometimes killing them caps off the obvious.
