Time Out says

4 out of 5 stars
Fascinating doc on the history of New York’s Grove Press and its former owner, the eccentric Barney Rosset. Always one to nudge the boundaries of the First Amendment, Rosset was a master of the succès de scandale: he and his colleagues published the work of authors such as Lawrence, Miller, Burroughs and Beckett. The film’s directors, Daniel O’Connor and Neil Ortenberg, have an abundance of archive to play with, as well as interviews with the mischievous 87-year-old Rosset who always clutches a trademark tumbler of rum and Coke.
