Time Out says

1 out of 5 stars
Star Katherine Heigl actually makes 2010’s superficially similar Jennifer Aniston vehicle ‘The Bounty Hunter’ look superior with this squabbling ex-lovers action-romance, a leaden, visually drab affair in which a rookie bail-bonds agent with a perpetually gawked-at chest (Heigl) is tasked with tracking down her former flame (Jason O’Mara), a cop wanted for murder. Flirty bickering is rampant but, courtesy of Heigl’s inert performance, there’s no heat or humour to the proceedings, just an avalanche of grating big-hair-and-bad-accent Nu Joisey caricatures. The producers were clearly pitching for a franchise by adapting the first novel in Janet Evanovich’s bestselling Stephanie Plum series – a hope that seems unlikely to be fulfilled given the film’s disastrous critical reception.
