A documentary on Australia's veteran radical journalist Wilfred Burchett. Returning to his beloved SE Asia in the wake of Pol Pot's holocaust and in the midst of a war between former comrades, Burchett exhibits much the same devastated incomprehension he had to conquer as the first Western newsman to file a report from Hiroshima. Burchett's unique experience between these two cataclysms - 30 years of reporting from the communist position on Korea, Vietnam and Cambodia, which earned him close friendship with Ho Chi Minh and an 'enemy's' exile from his Australian homeland - more happily form the major focus of this remarkable inspirational film memoir.
