The still news image rarely bears such implications for life and limb on the ground as it does in Israel and Palestine. Too charged a photograph and blood will flow, suicide bombs will hasten the passing of innocents, and an overzealous state apparatus will also do the same. For Reinhard Krause, heading up a team of photographers from both sides of the divide in the Reuters photo bureau, the pressure to deliver genuinely balanced pictures is urgent and intense.
