Song for Tibet

A moving documentary which conveys rare sympathy for a family exiled to Canada in the aftermath of the Chinese invasion of Tibet, as they affirm their determination to stay in touch with Tibetan people and tradition, and their unshakeable faith in the future. The sober account of Chinese atrocities, and the evident dignity and compassion of the Dalai Lama (who was ignored by the government when he visited Ottawa), paint a shameful picture of western foreign policy and China's restored Most Favoured Nation trading status.
