Time Out says

The UK tosses its hat into the 3D ring with this sweet-natured, London-set dance movie that, if nothing else, proves that gainful employment is in the realms of the possible for the fly-by-night famesters of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’. Bear-hugging convention with all its might, the film tells of Carly (Nichola Burley) and her attempts to whip her dancing crew in shape for a tournament. She does this by co-opting the help and resources of a compassionate ballet instructor (Charlotte Rampling – looking like she’s having fun) who requests that they work on creating a dance routine that fuses the traditional with the modern. That the climactic dance resembles something from the dark recesses of Lloyd-Webber’s dream archive is by the by: the movie has vim and spark in abundance and the filmmakers are canny enough to let the cast play to their strengths by keeping dialogue to a minimum and shoe horning in as many brilliantly choreographed dance sequences as the material will allow.
