Time Out says

Summer Phoenix shows versatility as Suzie, a likeable London girl from a large, noisy Jewish family who, in the run-up to her sister's wedding, is under pressure to pair up with Anthony Silver (Goldberg), the smarmy local catch. Instead she opts for Darren (Gregory), a cheeky chap from work, who hasn't a clue about her family. There's scant conviction in their romantic union, or in the Bridget Jones' Diary-inspired banter between Suzie and her girlfriends. More amusement derives from the old stagers of the Jewish community (including Townsend, Front and Barber) and their attitudes to sex, marriage and culture, their gossipy antics spawning some neat one liners and farcical set pieces.
