The Cure have spent 15 years championing the ultimate shoe-shuffling indie music for staying in to, so it's perhaps strange that this is their second live film. Mumbling into the microphone from behind a guitar and tumbleweed haircut, leadman Robert Smith carries these huge concerts surprisingly well, and this is an attractive, well-shot movie of a colourful (if not imaginatively) staged concert (Palace Stadium, Detroit, July 1992). The songs range from 'Let's Go to Bed' to 'Never Enough'. Even fans of trendy bands, it seems, get their lighters out for the slowies.
