The Ghost Goes West

Time Out says

Only the obsessively cosmopolitan Korda could have put together this British film, with its French director, its American writer (Robert Sherwood) and its story from Punch about a Scottish castle transported to Florida along with its ghost. The result of this geographical pot-pourri is so silly that it's almost disarming - especially with the gracefully romantic Donat wandering about with his honey voice, kilt and bagpipes. But total delight is kept at bay by the obviousness of the satire on US habits, the obviousness of the sets, and the comparative waste of Clair's talents.
