The Haunting in Connecticut
Time Out says
Things go bump in the night—and the day, at twilight and at dawn—throughout Peter Cornwell’s “based on the true story” ghost tale, in which a couple (Madsen, Donovan) rents a house to be closer to the hospital where teen son Matt (Gallner) is undergoing cancer treatment. Matt starts seeing things in the creepy old dwelling, which, by the way, used to be a funeral home run by a guy with a sideline in sances. Cornwell delivers shock-cut scares with metronomic regularity; all you can do is sit numbly, waiting for the next pummeling.—Hank Sartin
