The Last Time

Ted (Keaton) is a smug, strutting, foulmouthed corporate salesman—picture Entourage’s Ari dropped into a production of Glengarry Glen Ross on the set of The Office. Against his mercenary instincts, he takes pity on his incompetent partner (Fraser) and then has an affair with the guy’s gorgeous blond girlfriend (Valletta). They say that trust is the key to closing a sale, but The Last Time feels thoroughly phony, right down to Ted’s past as a university English professor. I ain’t buying it. (Opens Fri; Quad.) — Tom Beer
