The Monkey

With Longlegs, Osgood Perkins delivered one of our favourite horror flicks of 2024. That film had a serial-killing Nicholas Cage slathered in your grannie’s make-up; this one centers on a psychotic toy monkey that comes with a similarly malevolent curse. Twin brothers, both played by The Gentlemen’s Theo James, must pool their resources to have the evil mechanical simian clanging its last cymbal. Perkins – son of Psycho star Anthony – dips into Stephen King’s bookbag to adapt a 1980 short story from the great horror scribe.
