The Twelve Tasks of Asterix

Time Out says

In this product of the Idéfix studio, established by Goscinny, creator of the stocky Gallic hero Astérix, French humour strikes a common note with the British in the struggle of the plucky, apolitical bourgeois against bureaucratic authority. Although the film achieves nothing startling in its use of animation techniques, the narrative moves along at a fair pace as Astérix and Obélix tackle the twelve Herculean labours imposed by Julius Caesar, relying on the virtues of audacity, tenacity, fortitude, sheer ignorance, and the magic potion scored off Getafix the Druid. The most appealing task is a sortie into the Madhouse of Bureaucracy to obtain a permit for their next move. Our heroes find that the only way to combat the insane system is to create further confusion.
