The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising

This moving documentary, subtitled 'Chronicle According to Marek Edelman', begins with 15 minutes of archive footage, presumably taken by the Nazis, of the Warsaw Ghetto between 1940 and 1943, to the accompanying music of Jan Kanty Pawluskiewicz. This is the background to the testimony of Edelman, a young leader of the Jewish Battle Organisation during the 53 days of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. Edelman recalls in perfect detail the suffering and courage of the Jews.
