These Birds Walk: movie review
Time Out says
For the runaways, orphans and lost children of Karachi, the Edhi Foundation is a safe haven; a bassinet outside bears the words LEAVE THEM IN THE CARRIAGE. DON'T KILL THE CHILDREN. Filmmakers Omar Mullick and Bassam Tariq track several such grade-school–age boys as they mark time at a boardinghouse; the film also follows Asad, an ambulance driver who is charged with bringing the kids back home. Those reunions are not always happy ones—one relative claims that his nephew would be less trouble dead—but they offer a brief, striking glimpse into the situations that make such a organization necessary.
