[title]
Also known as ‘Miss and the Doctors’ (you can see why they stuck to the French title, which literally translates as ’stick out your tongue, miss’), this is a spiky romantic drama from actress-turned-director Axelle Ropert. To make things more complicated, she’s turned the tables right back around and cast a director – Cedric Khan, of ‘Red Lights’ – in the lead role. He plays paediatrician Boris, who begins a love rivalry with his own brother for the affections of a barmaid whose daughter has chronic diabetes. Yes, it all sounds a bit far-fetched and melodramatic to us, too, but reviews from the festivals have largely been enthusiastic.
