Time Out says

The sequel to Boulting's Desert Victory, in which the British 8th Army's advance is seen as part of an Allied masterplan to drive the Germans out of Africa. Two huge convoys, one British, the other American, meet at a predeter- mined point in mid-Atlantic; a lengthy flashback takes us back to the previous summer, when the masterplan was conceived, and the remainder of the film follows the course of the North African campaign chronologically. Apart from two sequences - the British attack on Wadi Zig Zaou and the American assault on Hill 609, staged in England and Arizona respectively - the movie is all combat footage. (This was a re-working by Boulting and Capra of Stewart's earlier Africa Freed, which had been suppressed for allegedly downplaying the US contibution to the campaign.
