Time Out says

Yet another gay teenage movie opens, this one a hackneyed coming-out tale rife with angst, violence and bare backsides. Considering the number of films under indie director-writer Todd Verow’s belt, there’s no excuse for the poor performances, leaden pacing and nearly inaudible sound (which, given the lame dialogue, is perhaps a good thing). Closeted high-school senior Joe (Hallowell, who looks like he’s pushing 30) has a neglectful mother, an insane sister and a hot jock best friend, Andrew (Lucas). The buddies get it on and begin exploring the sketchy gay scene in Bangor, Maine. You’ll thank God you live in New York City. (Now playing; Two Boots Pioneer.) — Raven Snook
