Time Out says

Ida Kelarová is a Czech theatre director who discovers a honey-voiced Romany Gypsy girl named Vierka and immediately has big plans for her future. So committed is Kelarová to nurturing this talent, she asks Vierka and her family to leave Slovakia and come and live with her in Czech Republic. What was originally intended as a documentary profile of this young prodigy soon takes a U-turn as the Gypsy family coyly decide to move back to Slovakia for reasons which are left for the viewer to decide. Is it the lack of compatibility between the two families? Did they want to bring up Vierka their own way? Did they resent their daughter’s talent? It all tails of a bit too abruptly for any clear insight to be gleaned from the footage, but this is  still a winning (if thoroughly downbeat) investigation into the pitfalls of entertainment management.
