A compact but fetching documentary from the rural hamlet of Blasny, in the Czech Republic, reckoned the world's smallest stage for a domestic top flight football team. Home games see the town's numbers swell notably in size. That success story aside, the film charts the slow extinction of social participation among the local citizenry, in the wake of the cohesion formerly provided by the old, local level Communist administration. Just you try persuading a party of middle-aged women on to an empty dancefloor.
