Time Out says

A well-cast rehash by 20th Century-Fox of MGM's Executive Suite (made the same year) that reads like a Neil Simon comedy, with Webb playing an automobile tycoon trying to choose a deputy. He summons the three top candidates and their wives to New York: Cornel Wilde and Allyson are homespun and want to remain in Kansas; MacMurray and Bacall are ambitious and divorcing; Heflin is a wimp, but his wife Arlene Dahl sets out to seduce Webb on her husband's behalf. The result is a victory for feminism and sexism, and it's fun getting there. The tendency to have characters on the edges of the frame, and the frequent travelogue shots of Manhattan, are there to advertise CinemaScope.
