The Bengaluru favourite will offer a preview at its Churchgate outlet from March 2–5

If you’ve been hovering around the Churchgate storefront or refreshing your feeds for updates on Rameshwaram Cafe’s Mumbai debut, you’re not alone. The much-anticipated outpost of the Bengaluru cult favourite has hit a slight delay – but there's a silver lining, because they're offering a taste of what's to come.
To tide fans over until the official launch, Rameshwaram Cafe will host exclusive public food trials from March 2 to March 5, between 6pm and 10pm. The preview gives Mumbaikars an early look (and bite) at the quick-service brand that shot to fame in 2021 for reviving the classic darshini-style standing eatery format in Bengaluru.
Unlike its standing-room-only counterparts down south, though, the Mumbai outlet (located inside the historic Cambata Building in Churchgate) spans two floors and will feature seated tables. The menu is expected to spotlight the hits that built its reputation: benne dosas, the much-loved ghee podi idli and its bestseller filter coffee soft serve.
The café's still mum on an actual opening date – so stay tuned.
Time Out tip: Even though it’s labelled a 'trial', the turnout's probably going to be massive. Plan for queues.
