Bridges says
"Friends, Interpreters, Countrymen, lend me your hands. Join me for an exciting workshop in which we will learn better how to turn Shakespeare's plays into interpreted performance. "But I'm terrified of Shakespeare and have no plans to interpret it anytime soon," you say? Tut, tut. This workshop is for you too. By studying how to interpret Shakespeare, we will get to work on concepts such as performance interpreting, cross-lingual interpretation, poetry, classifiers, visualization, and body use while interpreting. If you can interpret "To be or not to be, that is the question. Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune..." then you can certainly interpret your day-to-day work with greater ease. This workshop is for anyone wanting to brush up their performance, poetic, and conceptual interpreting skills. We will have live actors, lots of fun, and even a dancing bear! (dancing bear not real)"

This workshop will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room at Bridges, located at 935 Edgehill Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203. Lunch will not be provided, but attendees will receive an hour lunch break.

As a bonus, Shakespeare in the Park will be interpreted after the workshop. Join Beth Moss and Scott Baker for a special show after the workshop.
