On Tuesday, January 24, 2017 the next lecture in the Dean’s Diversity Lecture Series will be delivered by E. Patrick Johnson, Ph.D. from Northwestern University, who is Chair of the Department of African American Studies and a Professor of African American Studies and Performance Studies. He is the author of Sweet Tea: Black Gay Men of the South – An Oral History. Dr. Johnson will present his one-man performance of his play, “Pouring Tea”. The performance is open to the public and will take place at 7 p.m. in the Rotunda of the Wyatt Center, 1930 South Drive, Nashville, TN 37203. The Dean’s Diversity Lecture at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College is designed to host frank and open discussions about race, diversity, and inclusion.
