Tennessee Public Hearing For Senate Bill 155 says
On March 14, the Tennessee Senate State and Local Government Committee will be holding a public hearing on Senate Bill 155, which strengthens Tennessee’s preexisting prohibition on sanctuary policies and conditions state funding on a public entity’s willingness to cooperate with federal officials. Sanctuary policies tie the hands of law enforcement and other government officials by prohibiting or restricting their cooperation with federal immigration officials, dangerously allowing criminal aliens to live and work freely in communities. The hearing will be held at 10:30 am in Room 12.

Call members of the Committee today and tell them you support ending dangerous sanctuary policies!
The benefits of legislation promoting state and local cooperation with federal immigration officials include:

• Furthering the public safety and welfare of Tennesseans;
• Fighting illegal immigration by eliminating the attraction for illegal aliens to come to Tennessee;
• Providing federal officials with critical assistance to remove criminal aliens who are already in state or local custody; and
• Preserving the Rule of Law.
