Since Russia launched its large-scale invasion of Ukraine last Thursday, there’s been an enormous outpouring of support for the country around the world. Governments have reacted by freezing Russian assets, implementing sanctions on the country and severing diplomatic ties, all while offering military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.

And citizens across the globe have been showing their support, too. Over the past week, crowds have gathered in major places around the world to protest against the Russian invasion and stand up for peace. Here are some pictures.
